The Senreve Aria is labeled as a belt bag, but it’s so much more!
Inspired by women who do it all, Senreve’s products are created with a seamless blend of elegant design, impeccable quality, and innovative construction. I caught the Senreve bug last summer when I was looking for the perfect chic travel bag to bring to Spain. That’s when I fell in love with the Senreve Mini Maestra, the smallest version of Senreve’s Maestra line which looks compact but is large enough to fit my DSLR camera. (Read my review of the Mini Maestra here).
My latest investment is in the Senreve Aria, an elegant little bag that features the same design detail as the Maestra line – reminiscent of a wingtip loafer. I was looking for something that could replace my old black DVF 440 clutch while bringing more utility to the table. So how did the Senreve Aria stack up?

The Senreve Aria: belt bag or crossbody?
It may have been originally designed as a belt bag, but the geniuses at Senreve started adding two internal loops under the top flap that can be used to turn the Senreve Aria into a shoulder bag, crossbody, or clutch. There are also two metal chain styles available – gold and silver – so you can customize your bag’s entire look. You can also shorten or lengthen the chain so the Aria can be worn as a crossbody or shoulder bag, or held in the hand.
I ended up getting both the gold and silver chains to go with my Aria so I can switch them up depending on the jewelry I’m wearing on any given day. After using the bag twice, I did find that the chain slips around. This is only an issue if you don’t have it on the longest setting, but I did find myself having to periodically tuck in the spare tail at the end.
One note – the older Aria models don’t have loops inside – these are essential if you want the bag to hang straight. Using the chain with the belt loops will cause it to pitch forward, which could be annoying if you aren’t wearing it flat against your body. If you scroll through the Mimosa Arias, you’ll see those haven’t been updated. You can simply check the photos on the Aria page – the last image shows the inner flap and should show the two loops (see my close-up below). Most other colors and finishes have been updated with the loops.
Sized to go everywhere
Ever since cell phones started getting bigger (and bigger and bigger) I’ve struggled to make some of my older clutches work. I love my DVF 440 but it was not made for newer phone models – it’s tough to get my iPhone 7+ to fit by itself, let alone keys and lip balm too – which definitely puts a cramp in my style. Meanwhile, the Senreve Aria works around that while still maintaining a small profile. It’s perfectly sized for a newer phone model at 8” long and 5” tall, and because it’s a full 2” wide, it accommodates much more than a traditional envelope clutch.
Built to last
Like Senreve’s other bags, the Aria is made from sturdy leather in a range of luxe finishes that resist scratches and stains, and is lined with soft micro suede. I purchased the Aria in suede noir, a combination of pebbled leather with suede top flap, and while it looks beautiful and elegant, it feels like it’s built like a tank. I’m definitely not worried about having to handle this bag delicately, which is great because I’m going to be using it all the time!

Love it as a belt bag! I’m all here for the versatility & practicality.
That’s definitely what won me over – the ability to swap out chains AND change up the length, depending on how I want to wear the bag.
I love the chic look of this bag and it’s size! I’m a sucker for smaller bags because they fit just everything you need.
Me too! Anytime I don’t need to bring my DSLR, I try to bring the smallest bag possible. I’m just so tired of cramming things in clutches that don’t have enough width. I love that the Aria accommodates my phone and essentials without getting overstuffed.
You know I’m obsessed with Senreve! Now I’m thinking I need to get an Aria bag to add to my collection!
I think you would love it! The ability to switch up the strap makes it so much more wearable for different looks.
