I may not hold all the secrets to Parisian style, but here are three looks inspired by fashion on the streets of Paris – elegant and classic, yet never boring.

Thank you to the wonderful Timothy Eugene for collaborating with me on these looks!

First, take a well-proportioned black jumpsuit.

Then add a structured mini bag with a delicate chain and a pair of colorful heels in a classic silhouette, like these M. Gemi Lustros in blue suede.

Top it off with a trench in a light, drapey tencel twill.

Keep your silhouette minimal with a fitted blazer like this one from Argent over a nude camisole.

Then elongate the look with white trousers in a heavy fall-friendly crepe.

Finish it off with blush sunglasses and the highest black stiletto pumps you own.

Use pastels as a neutral on the bottom paired with a jewel-tone top in the same color family.

Bring it all together with oversized earrings and patent pumps with a slender block heel.

Bonus points if :

1) You’ve owned the layered silk Armani Collezioni top since you were 16.

2) Your Mom said you would only wear it once, then caved and bought it for you for $40 at T.J. Maxx anyway.

3) You proudly wore it to junior prom with a vintage taffeta polka-dot skirt.

4) It’s more than a decade later and you’re still rocking it.
