I’m a little obsessed with good bags. Being organized and looking chic are both really important to me, so I’m always looking for day bags, travel bags, and handbags that can meet both those requirements. Even for casual, sporty pieces, I want my bags to be high quality, with details like pockets and a full lining. Enter ANDI bags!

Designed to be extremely versatile, ANDI bags are washable, convertible, super lightweight, and beautifully made. Here are reviews of the six ANDI bags in my rotation.

Studio Backpack – Admiral Pop Yellow

What ANDI says: A unique blend of handbag and backpack, the Studio style fits a ton in its unassuming frame. The backpack straps are adjustable, or it can be held by the double top handles. It easily fits a change of clothes, water bottle, notebook, change of shoes, and snacks.

My take: This is a high-quality version of those ubiquitous drawstring backpacks that college athletes tote around. It’s lined and has a good size capacity. I love that it looks sporty but can be held from its top handles for an elevated look.

Final verdict: I’m impressed by how much fits in this bag – a change of clothes and shoes, a water bottle (in either of the side mesh pockets), and more. It’s perfect as a day bag for a long hike or bike ride.

The Cinch – Ocean Ombré

What ANDI says: Similar to the Studio Backpack, the Cinch bag blends a casual drawstring bag with a top-handle tote. It has an outside zip pocket and two inside pockets, and fits a water bottle, flip flops, and other small essentials.

My take: I thought I didn’t need another drawstring backpack after I got the ANDI studio bag, but I couldn’t pass up the beautiful blue and teal ombre! The bag is made from recycled plastic water bottles and feels extremely high-quality, though word to the wise – the fabric attracts pet hair.

Final verdict: This is probably my favorite ANDI bag, as it’s the one I turn to the most frequently. I like that it’s a little less sporty than the studio backpack. It also has a petite silhouette that’s super cute, but still fits a lot. Whether I’m returning something at the mall, going to yoga class, or taking a hike with a water bottle and snacks, this is my go-to bag!

The ANDI – Admiral Tie Dye

What ANDI says: Their signature bag, the ANDI is designed to be virtually weightless, and transforms from a tote to a crossbody or a backpack. It also slips over the handle of a roller suitcase, and can even be configured to carry your wide-brimmed hat or yoga mat! The ANDI includes a snap-out wristlet and crossbody strap, and it’s machine washable.

My take: The ANDI is a perfect size for a weekend away. It fits my 13” Macbook, three changes of clothes, plus toiletries and essentials. It’s super lightweight, and I love that it’s washable too! Perfect for the beach or a picnic hike, when I don’t want to worry about a bag that feels overly precious. One note – because of the lightweight fabric, this bag is note structured, so it does not hold its shape without stuff inside.

Final verdict: The ANDI balances form and function beautifully, and with more than a dozen prints to choose from it won’t be tough to find a print that matches your personal style. I highly recommend this perfectly-sized tote for all kinds of general use – weekends away, as a carry-on bag, or a day trip.

The ANDI XL – Black Apple

What ANDI says: About twice the size of the signature ANDI, the ANDI XL has you covered for longer trips, and is durable enough to function as carry-on or checked airline baggage. It has all of the same functionality as the original ANDI.

My take: I will say, when I received the ANDI XL, my first thought was, “wow this is huge!” It feels more than double the size of the original ANDI – which is a very good thing if you’re looking for a roomier travel bag. I love that its lightweight material means it compresses down to virtually nothing.

Final verdict: The ANDI XL is a great bag if you’re looking for something that fits a ton! It’s a little big for general travel, so I find myself turning to the original ANDI size much more often – especially since the ANDI XL gets heavy when it’s full, which can be a bit rough on the shoulders.

Urban Clutch – Liquid Steel

What ANDI says: An on-the-go clutch, belt bag, crossbody, or over-the-shoulder bag, the Urban Clutch can also be attached to a belt loop with its accompanying carabiner – this lil pouch can convert to whatever you need! It has a zip-front storage pocket and a main zip compartment that fits a cell phone, small wallet, keys, lip gloss, mask, hand sanitizer and a snack.

My take: This bag is the most convertible I’ve ever seen, bar none. I love that I can wear it as a belt bag on hike, but then transform it into a sling or crossbody to walk around town. It comfortably fits everything it says it does (I have an iPhone 11+) and because it’s made out of ANDI’s signature nylon and recycled PET, it weighs nothing.

Final verdict: Even with its iridescent material, this clutch is so much lighter than I expected it to be. The Liquid Steel finish looks super cool, especially in sunlight, and is hand-washable. Plus it comes in a ton of other colors and patterns, many of which are machine-washable. I highly recommend the Urban Clutch, especially for outdoor activities, since clean-up is so easy!

Origami Tote – Sand Denim Neon

What ANDI says: A modern market bag, the Origami Tote has both top handles and shoulder straps, and is collapsible, folding flat for easy storage. It’s made from recycled water bottles, has reinforced seams for heavier loads, and is a perfect secondary bag to have on hand for any need.

My take: The Origami Tote is the only bag that’s unlined and has no interior pockets – it’s just the basics. The Sand Denim version is the most structured of the bunch, and can stand up on its own.

Final verdict: I think of the Origami Tote as my go-to farmer’s market bag. It fits a ton, and is super easy to fold up and tuck in my glove compartment so I have it when I need it. It’s a more sophisticated reusable grocery-type bag, and perfect for transporting heavy loads.
