Living in the city, I’m often bringing work with me to a cafe, a friend’s house, happy hour (or most recently, jury duty!). I’m constantly looking for a laptop bag that can effortlessly move with me no matter what I’m doing or where I’m going, but I’ve struggled to find the perfect one. The Transform Air Tote
Designed to facilitate work-life balance, the Transform Air Tote has a water-resistant fabric exterior trimmed with beautiful Italian pebbled leather. Inside is a padded laptop compartment that fits standard 15″ laptops, and multiple interior and exterior pockets for easy organization and access to essentials. I love that it comes with two extra straps that convert the bag to a backpack and crossbody. There’s also a built-in luggage sleeve that makes it perfect for traveling!
What fits inside
My favorite thing about the Transform Air Tote—how roomy it is. Even with a full-size 15” laptop, I could still fit my DSLR camera, water bottle, clutch and more inside. I love that there are a ton of pockets but they aren’t so deep that things will be difficult to fish out. Between all the different compartments, it’s easy to organize in this bag and keep everything at your fingertips. It’s also wide enough to fit a small tupperware which is exactly what I need on days I bring breakfast or lunch into the office.
Versatility and comfort
The Transform Air Tote comes with two adjustable nylon straps–adding one transforms it into a crossbody, while adding two to the built-in loops turns it into a backpack. Both straps are wide enough to be comfortable, are completely adjustable, and don’t slip as you walk around. Too many times I’ve tried bags where the backpack function was clearly something slapped on at the end—with straps that are too short, dig into my shoulders, or tilt the bag forward at an awkward angle. I seriously appreciate the thoughtful versatility of The Transform Air Tote’s comfortable backpack function.
Additionally, The Transform Air Tote is (true to its name) extremely lightweight. Leather totes are often so heavy they dig into my arm or shoulders–not so here. POND LA gets around the weight issue by building this tote in a water-resistant fabric with leather trim versus 100% leather, which creates a truly airy bag.
Style
The Transform Air Tote features light gold hardware that subtly accentuates the texture of the bag, with a small gold POND LA logo, strap loops, zippers, and bag feet to keep the bag off the ground. It’s a classic and elegant style that isn’t ostentatious and complements any outfit.
